Dear friends guitarists,
Are you ready for the next adventure of the Guitar Festival in its "23rd Edition"?
The Festival will take place in Mottola (Ta) from July 4th to 12nd, 2015 with all its musical activities, information, didactics and so on.

We give you "an anticipation" of the next Announcement of the Competition 2015.

About the enrollment to the competition and further information about the festival, you'll have to wait for the publication (on our website 
www.mottolafestival.com) of the Official Announcement of the Competition 2015, scheduled for March 2015.

21st International Competition of Guitar- Mottola (Italy), July 9 - 12, 2015
AWARDS
First Prize 3.000,00 €:
“City of Mottola” Prize 1.500,00 €
“Lions Club Massafra-Mottola Le Cripte” Prize 1.500,00 €
"dotGuitar Prize" Recording contract with dotGuitar WebLabel for the
distribution of a CD for guitar on major digital distribution channels worldwide

Second Prize
“City of Mottola” Prize 1.000,00 €

Third Prize
“City of Mottola” Prize 500,00 €

COMPETITION REGULATIONS
1) The competition will take place from July 9 to 12, 2015 in Mottola (Taranto) and it is open to guitarists of all nationalities if born after January 1, 1980.

2) The competition will follow three steps:
a) Preliminary round: (Thursday) July 9, 2015 - 9.00 a.m.;
b) Semifinal round: (Friday) July 10, 2015;
c) Final round: The exact day and time of the Final round will be made official with the publication of the official announcement.

3) Required pieces:

Preliminary round:
a) Two Studies chosen between “Douze Estudes” by Heitor Villa Lobos (taken from the editions of Max Eschig 6679 or Max Eschig/Durand  DF15851)
b) 5 free choice minutes.
 
Semifinal round:
a) one composition of the following list:
Niccolò Paganini - Grande Sonata in La maggiore;
Mauro Giuliani - Gran Sonata Eroica; Sonata in Do magg. Op. 15; Rossiniane;
Fernando Sor - Sonata op. 22;  Sonata op. 25;
Joaquin Turina - Sonata;
Antonio Josè - Sonata;
Mario Castelnuovo Tedesco - Sonata;
H. Villa Lobos - Suite Populaire Brasilienne;
Benjamin Britten - Nocturnal Op.70;
Alberto Ginastera - Sonata op. 47;
Angelo Gilardino - Sonata n. 1; Sonata n. 2; 
Leo Brouwer - Sonata;
Dusan Bogdanovic - Jazz Sonata;
Roland Dyens - Libra Sonatine;
Máximo Diego Pujol - Elegía por la muerte de un tanguero;     
Carlo Domeniconi – Koyunbaba.

Final round:
20 free choice minutes (you cannot repeat pieces performed in the previous stages of the competition).


21st International Competition “Young Guitarists” - Mottola (Italy) July 11 and 12, 2015
Prize to the absolute winner
“SALVADOR CORTEZ” Guitar
(CC90 Model - commercial value Euro 750,00)
The guitar is offered by “Casa Musicale CASSANO” – Ginosa (TA)

Regulation
Cat. A: soloists born until 2003, 5 free choice minutes;
Cat. B: soloists born from 2000 to 2002, 8 free choice minutes;
Cat. C: soloists born from 1995 to 1999, 10 free choice minutes.
